What types of canapés do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of canapés designed to suit any event or taste. Our selection includes gourmet options such as seared kangaroo on a saltbush cracker, barramundi with pineapple salsa, wild mushroom crostini, and vegetarian bites like pumpkin and pepper frittata and sweet potato croquettes.

How many canapés do you recommend per person?
For shorter events, such as cocktail gatherings or one- to two-hour events, we typically recommend serving 5 canapés per person. For longer events or events where the canapés are the main food offering, we suggest 6-8 canapés per person to ensure guests are satisfied throughout the duration. We take into consideration the timing of your event, whether it’s during a mealtime or a light snack gathering, so we can adjust the quantities to best suit your needs.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We understand that each guest has unique dietary needs. We offer options to cater to dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options. Our team works closely with you and our chefs to ensure all dietary requirements are met while delivering delicious dishes. However, we do not cater for Kosher guests.
Do you provide servers for the event?
We can provide professional servers for your event to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our team handles setup, serving, and cleanup, allowing you to focus on enjoying the event. Our experienced staff are trained to deliver exceptional service, including drinks service, roaming food and food management, ensuring your guests are well looked after throughout the event.
Are there any additional fees for delivery, setup, or equipment hire?
There may be additional fees for delivery, setup, and equipment hire, depending on the specifics of your event. Delivery fees are based on the location and distance from our kitchen. Setup fees cover the time and resources needed to arrange your food and ensure everything is ready for service. If your event requires special equipment, such as tablecloths or upgraded serving platters, we can arrange for hire at an additional cost. We will provide a detailed breakdown of all fees upfront in your quote.
Do you offer a full bar service?
Jarrah Catering does offer a full bar service for your event. Our team can provide a comprehensive selection of beverages, including wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, tailored to your event’s needs. Whether it's a casual gathering or a formal celebration, our full bar service will complement your catering experience. Glassware hire available upon request.
When should we finalise the menu and guest count?
We recommend finalising the menu, event details, and guest count at least a week before your event. This gives us enough time to ensure everything is prepared to your specifications and that we can source the best ingredients. For larger or more complex events, we suggest confirming details as early as possible to guarantee availability and ensure we can accommodate all your requests. If any adjustments need to be made closer to the event, we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
How do I confirm and secure my event with Jarrah Catering?
To confirm and secure your event with us, a 50% deposit is required. Once you’ve chosen your menu and finalised the event details, we’ll send through the invoice details. When the deposit is received, your event will be officially secured, and we’ll get to work on the planning. The remaining balance is due in full the day before your event.
